Have you seen a change in the students, or are they always the same?
Phil: Yes and no. I think its complicated by the fact that over that period particularly in Britain the student numbers against staff numbers have just risen incredibly, you know when I was at college there were 48 of us in a year and now we have 200 in a year, but the staffing level is no different. So the whole dynamic relationship between us and the students is different their isn’t the same dialogue and the same discussion its, it’s a different thing and, and that’s a shame cause I really appreciated as a student staff just talking to you, as though you were just someone who was interested in design rather than someone they were teaching. You know, there wasn’t really quite the same barrier, with the best teachers anyway. And its difficult now to build up the relationship with the students just cause there is so many.

Visual communication, isn't an art course. It's closer to maths than art. You are given a problem to solve and there is one perfect answer, it's just going through enough wrong ones to prove that your answer is right.

Me -'dad, were doing animation for our next project, I'm really looking forward to it.'
Dad- 'really are you using CGI and stuff?'
Me -'erm .... no.'

Animation can explain whatever the mind of man can conceive. This facility makes it the most versatile and explicit means of communication yet devised for quick mass appreciation.
To me this quote sums up our whole unit, I'm not a big walt disney fan, but found that you just cant disagree with this quote. It clearly says that the audience is the most important aspect and your imagination can be portrayed for everyone to see, so you can send a clear message to the masses and become influential but simply creating a cartoon. That message thusly has to be soo clear, maybe overly clear just to make sure they got it. To me thats a lot of responsibility for a simple animation.
